June 20th: Childbirth Education: Birth Basics + Decision Points

Join certified doula, Chantel Spinner, for an informative and practical overview of how labor typically unfolds and what to expect in common birth settings. Participants will learn about the stages of labor, how “progress” is assessed, and how to understand common interventions so they can feel informed and prepared when decisions come up.

Doors open at 9:30am and lunch will be provided.

Chantel Spinner is a perinatal health advocate and full-spectrum doula serving families in Central Virginia. Through The Melanin Fluent Doula Agency, she provides childbirth education, labor support, postpartum preparation, and care navigation with a focus on informed consent, client-centered advocacy, and culturally responsive support. Chantel brings experience in community outreach and client support and is committed to helping families feel seen, heard, and prepared throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
